Safety

Opel Astra is equipped with the latest Intelli-Lux® headlights. This new and improved system is a step forward in headlight design. It radically improves visibility by increasing the number of individually adapted LED segments to 168. Thanks to them, the car automatically adapts to traffic, independently adjusts the use of the high beam in relation to another car.

The system combines the capabilities of three of Opel Astra’s most technologically advanced features to give you unparalleled handling and control over your journey. Intelli-Drive 1.0 includes Lane Keeping Assist, which allows the vehicle to gently adjust the steering wheel to help you maintain your lane. In addition, it uses a lane departure assist system that notifies you of approaching another vehicle from behind or entering a blind spot. A rear cross-traffic alert system warns you of approaching unexpected obstacles as well, including cyclists or pedestrians up to 40 meters away.

Comfort

With the Opel Astra keyless system, as soon as you touch the door handles, you won’t have to wait to start a new journey. Just get in the car, press the START button and go. The ergonomic active seats of the new Opel Astra hatchback have a quality certificate issued by the German association AGR². Intelli-Air is a new high-efficiency air filter that ensures a continuous renewal of air quality and protection of air cleanliness in the cabin.

Information and entertainment system

The new digital Pure Panel™ Pro features a 10-inch instrument cluster and a 10-inch central touchscreen with support for Apple CarPlay™1 and Android Auto. Real-time navigation includes updates on road conditions. You can organize the route and display it on the windshield with the Intelli-HUD projector, on the instrument panel or on the central touchscreen, depending on your preference. Opel Astra of the new generation is designed on a completely new platform, which is based on the principles of dynamics, controllability and comfort with low CO₂ emissions.

The engine range includes a dynamic 1.2-liter petrol engine and a highly efficient 1.5-liter diesel engine, both with up to 130 hp. and stop/start function. In the new Opel Astra hatchback, you will have the opportunity to control the dynamics of your car, choosing the driving mode that best suits your journey, road conditions and mood. The “NORMAL” mode will always give you the perfect balance between the range and dynamics, and the “ECO” mode will ensure maximum economy of fuel consumption.
